“I was treated to one of my favorite systems of the show…”

The Gestalt Audio system was comprised of the Wolf von Langa ULTIMA field coil speakers ($32,995/pair), one step up from the SON speakers I always enjoy in Munich, the SW1X MPA V Special monoblocks ($35,895/pair), the SW1X PRE III LPX Classic preamp ($29,495), the PrimaryControl Kinea turntable ($19,995) with a PrimaryControl FCL arm ($29,995) and a Fuuga MC cartridge ($9,995) matched with a SW1X SUT III step up ($14,295). Cabling was provided by Tchernov.

I’ll get straight to the point–the Gestalt Audio room may have surpassed the sound I’ve heard in Munich over the last few years. I’ve always said that those systems at the MOC excelled at pulling me deep into the music instead of keeping me at an arm’s distance, like many so-called big systems do. The Gestalt Audio system pulled me in, and then it whispered in my ear until I felt goose bumps and maybe once or twice it touched my knee as if to suggest a nightcap in its hotel room upstairs might be in order. I almost missed my flight for this room, and if I had I probably wouldn’t have cared. This was an absolutely memorable room.
