Line Pre-Amplifier
The PRE I is a pure class A, Output Transfomerless (OTL) line pre-amplifier with Power Valve Output Stage. Employing El84 power tubes at the output makes the PRE I a smaller brother to the SW1X PRE II Pre-amplifier. It is great enhancement to any tube power amplifier and ideal partner to our DAC I and II STD/SPX and LPU I Phono products, reducing their output impedance further and enhancing their sound with fullness and authority. With a help of of a PRE I, any source becomes unleashed to drive subsequent power amplifiers to its full potential.
The PRE I can be ordered with differnt series of SW1X Stepped Attenutator Volume Contols.

- 5Y3 Directly heated Tube rectified CLC (choke filtered) B+ power supply
- For maximum transparency & dynamics, the circuit is hard wired with of a specially selected conductors (single strand or Litz)
- Internally wired exclusively with our SW1X Magnum, Genesis and Opus conductors
- 1 x SW1X Audio Design™ Stereo, 24 Way, discrete resistor Stepped Attenuator (optional in SPX Version)

PRE I SPX Line Pre-Amplifier
SW1X Audio products were designed for maximum performance and also to ensure compatibility with majority of audio systems. However, pairing different audio systems may result in impedence or sensitivity mismatch. For maximum musical pleasure, we recommend to pair our products only with our harmonically matched system components. To achieve best possible results, the matching system component should be on equal performance level or alternatively within one level below or above.

We do not recommend purchasing a key system component without first auditioning it carefully, which is why we have demonstration rooms and a flexible home loan policy.
